BreastSCan creates one of Europe’s largest and most diverse breast cancer imaging datasets, with over one million images from nine countries. The project directly contributes to the Cancer Image Europe initiative.

Development of training programs to equip doctors and radiologists with the skills to effectively use new digital tools and AI in clinical practice

Increased adoption of AI tools in hospitals to support faster, more accurate, and more personalised detection of breast cancer

Expansion of the dataset to include images from more countries, reflecting Europe’s population diversity and enhancing the applicability of research results
