The European Institute of Oncology (Istituto Europeo di Oncologia, IEO) is a leading comprehensive cancer center based in Milan, Italy. Role of institution in the project

The European Institute of Oncology (IEO) will play a central role in the EUCAIM project, bringing extensive expertise in breast imaging and mammography. The team will use high-quality, annotated mammographic datasets, essential for developing and validating AI-driven tools for breast cancer detection and characterization. IEO’s experience in multimodal imaging, AI validation, and clinical workflow integration ensures that EUCAIM advances precision medicine, fostering a robust, federated infrastructure for AI-enhanced mammography and early breast cancer diagnosis across Europe.
