CETIR Centre Medic SL

CETIR, with more than 200 healthcare professionals, is the leading biomedical group in Spain in Genetics, Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine, as well as a benchmark in Radiation Oncology. CETIR Group operates a network of 20 biomedical clinics throughout Spain that annually perform approximately 250,000 MRIs, 80,000 CT scans and 35,000 nuclear medicine tests. With more than 50 years of experience, CETIR reinvests an average of 15% of its profits in R&D. An investment that allows for the incorporation of the latest advances in precision medicine, with special interest in oncology and continuous innovation in the development of artificial intelligence biomarkers and diagnostic algorithms, integrating genomic, clinical data and diagnostic images. CETIR has a solid base in the area of project management, in addition to an R&D management system certified by the UNE 166002 standard.

 

Role of institution in the project

CETIR Centre Mèdic participates in EUCAIM as a data provider partner, and is involved in WP7. CETIR will collaborate providing comprehensive cohorts of cases across multiple cancer types, including breast, prostate, lung, pancreatic, brain (gliomas, glioblastomas), kidney, and uterine cancers. This rich dataset is poised to significantly enhance the EUCAIM project by providing valuable insights and fostering advancements in cancer research, diagnosis, and treatment.

Dr. Jorge Pastor Peidró

Dr. Jorge Pastor Peidró holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Alicante and completed his specialization in Radiation Oncology at Hospital La Fe in Valencia. Since 2003, he has been a Medical Specialist Associate with the ASCIRES-CETIR Radiation Oncology Service at the General University Hospital of Valencia. Dr. Pastor Peidró has extensive experience in advanced radiotherapy techniques, including intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) for prostate, head and neck, gynecological, and soft tissue sarcomas, as well as other pelvic tumors. His expertise also encompasses total skin electron irradiation (TSEI), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), fractional stereotactic radiotherapy, and both cranial and extracranial radiosurgery. He currently serves as Head of the Radiation Oncology Service at the ASCIRES Medical Group. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in clinical research and is the author of more than 14 academic publications.

Anna Garcia-Elias

Anna Garcia-Elias holds a PhD in Biomedical Research from Pompeu Fabra University, where she also serves as an associate lecturer. Since 2022, she has coordinated clinical research activities at CETIR. With over 10 years of experience leading cardiovascular research projects, Dr. Garcia-Elias has published more than 20 scientific articles in high-impact journals. Her strong international background and expertise make her ideally suited to serve as the lead technical coordinator for CETIR in the EUCAIM project.

Pilar Castellote Huguet

Pilar Castellote Huguet holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She has wide experience in clinical research, with extensive work focusing on the development of radiomics algorithms of breast cancer and data projects. She joins EUCAIM as part of the engineering team at CETIR that will be involved in managing the clinical imaging data.
